TL;DR
Three avatars. Three businesses. Aitana Lopez is a brand-deal face with a Fanvue side door. Granny Spills is non-glam virality that lost TikTok money and kept the account. Kyra is a regional studio that got L'Oréal, then learned 400,000 people wanted a conversation. You should copy one operating system, not a hair colour.
- Aitana (The Clueless, Barcelona): pink hair, fitness/fashion, ~400K IG. Peak ~€10K/month, average closer to €3K. Keyword
PLAN. - Granny Spills (Blur Studios, New York): 1M IG in ~22 days. Cameo + brands after TikTok cut payouts. Keyword
TIP. - Kyra (FUTR Studios, Bengaluru): boAt, L'Oréal, Titan. Studio brand revenue in crores. Keyword
LOOK.
Receipts and other cases (Yang Mun, Passes operator, Lu do Magalu) live in how AI influencers make money in 2026. Face lock lives in how to create an AI influencer on Instagram in 2026. Faceless ops, including Yang Mun from that angle, live in faceless Instagram automation in 2026. This post is which of the three paid models you are actually building.
How do Aitana, Granny Spills, and Kyra actually get paid?
People screenshot Aitana and think the job is "make a pretty girl." People screenshot Granny and think the job is "make a viral grandma." People screenshot Kyra and think the job is "get Titan." Those are costumes. Underneath, the cash registers are different.
Aitana's register is inbound brand email plus a paid wall. Granny's register is attention that can be sold to a shoe brand, a steakhouse, or Cameo after the platform stops paying. Kyra's register is a studio invoice in rupees, with a chat product catching the overflow. If you copy the costume and ignore the register, you will have a locked face and a quiet inbox.
Follower count is a weak predictor. Aitana at ~400K is not "smaller" than Granny at 1M in a way that tells you who got paid. Kyra at ~250K still billed campaigns human influencers at that size do not always get. Per-follower revenue and who answers the DM are the numbers that matter.
Results below are from specific accounts and time periods, or studio claims. They are not typical, promised, or guaranteed. A new operator should expect NY Post's 2026 mid-tier band ($2,000 to $9,000 a month) more than anyone's press peak.
How do Aitana, Granny Spills, and Kyra compare?

How does Aitana Lopez make money as an AI influencer?
Aitana is 25, from Barcelona, pink hair, gym and street. She is not 25 and she is not from Barcelona. Rubén Cruz and The Clueless built her because the human models they booked kept cancelling. That origin story matters more than the hair. She is a staffing solution that grew an audience.
Stack at the start: Stable Diffusion, custom LoRAs, a lot of manual cleanup. This is 2023, before Higgsfield Soul ID and Nano Banana Pro made "same face every Tuesday" a default setting. They disclosed she is AI. Media did the rest. People sent date DMs. Celebrities who did not read the caption asked her out. That curiosity is a distribution hack and a moderation problem.
Money mix, creator-stated: up to about €10,000 in a good month, average closer to €3,000. About €1,000 and up per advert. Big (sports supplements), Amazon, a Fanvue page. Those figures have been repeated since late 2023, including Euronews. They are not an audited dashboard. Treat the average as the working number. Peak months are what agencies pitch. Averages are what rent gets paid with.
Timeline if you are copying the commercial face in 2026:
- Week 1: lock the face. Nano Banana Pro or Higgsfield Soul ID. Pink hair is optional. A scar, a nose, a jacket will do. Inconsistent faces die.
- Week 1: write the 12-week PDF. If you cannot write a safe workout, pay a trainer or pick Granny's row.
- Week 2: disclose AI in bio and on posts. Meta's AI tag plus the per-post toggle. EU distribution now has Article 50 duties.
- Weeks 2–8: daily Reels, one CTA. Comment
PLAN. - Month 3: media kit. Brands lag. Do not pause the PDF because a PR inbox is empty.
- Month 4+: Fanvue as a second keyword (
SET) on separate posts if you want the wall. Not on the same caption as PLAN.
Tools in 2026, not 2023: face lock as above, Kling 3 or Seedance 2 or Veo 3.1 for motion, ElevenLabs for voice if she talks, Claude for captions. HeyGen if you need a talking head and you can live with the look. InstantDM for the comment. You do not need The Clueless's early LoRA pain. You do need their disclosure habit.
Product: the PDF is the business you control. Brand deals are a bonus. Affiliates (protein, shoes) go in DM two, labelled. Fanvue is optional and crowded. If you skip the PDF, you are an unpaid model for a supplement brand that has not called yet.
Caption and DM:
- Caption: "12 weeks, three days a week. Comment PLAN and I will send the file. I am AI. The plan was written with a trainer."
- DM: "Here is the 12-week PDF. Day 1 is page 1. Protein link is optional and affiliate. Reply if something hurts. I will pass it to a human."
Who this hurts: anyone who thinks pretty is a niche. Fitness/fashion AI is the most copied look on Higgsfield. Your differentiation is the file and the speed of the DM, not a slightly different bang.

How did Granny Spills grow, and why did TikTok cut her?
Granny Spills wears all pink and says the quiet part. TIME quoted "Flowers die, honey. My Chanel bags are forever." Eric Suarez and Adam Vaserstein, both in their twenties, run Blur Studios in New York. Granny is one character in a roster that also includes a Bigfoot, a street interviewer, and a fitness instructor. That roster is the tell. They are a format factory, not a one-face passion project.
TIME's 19 November 2025 investigation is the source you should read, not a Twitter recap. About 1 million Instagram followers in the first weeks. Blur later said 22 days. TikTok around 400,000 in that same early window, later much larger depending on which recap you trust. Facebook about 1.2 million. Production: Claude trained on their own bits, then Veo. 5 to 10 minutes a video. Dozens a month.
Then TikTok labelled the work unoriginal and cut creator-fund money. That is the part operators skip when they post "1 million in 22 days" carousels. Platform payouts are a bad plan for AI. Instagram Reels Play Bonus is already gone. TikTok will keep flagging synthetic volume. Granny survived because the character could move: Cameo, Kurt Geiger, Papi Steak, Facebook and YouTube ads. US buyers still hesitated to take product advice from an AI granny, the founders told TIME. Reach was the easy layer. Trust at checkout was not.
Timeline if you are copying non-glam:
- Day 1: write 40 one-liners in a voice you can stand hearing daily. If the voice is generic "boomer wisdom," stop. Granny works because she is mean and specific.
- Day 1: lock the face. Age, teeth, jacket, ring. Veo and Kling will still melt earrings. Keep a reference sheet.
- Week 1: post daily. Disclose AI. Do not hide behind "voice enhanced."
- Week 1: InstantDM keyword
TIPsending a one-liner card and an email capture. You will need the list when a platform cuts you off. - Week 3: if it pops, do not scale to five characters. Answer the comments on this one. Blur can roster because they already had a pipeline.
- Month 2: Cameo or a merch drop that matches the bit. Brand deck as a PDF you can DM, not a Notion page nobody opens.
Tools: Claude for bits, Veo or Seedance for the clip, ElevenLabs if she talks, CapCut for the text on screen. Compute is cheap. The 5 to 10 minutes is prompt and QC, not After Effects. InstantDM is how two people run a character that can take 50,000 comments on a Tuesday.
Product: start smaller than a course. A printable card, a recipe, a Cameo-style personal roast, a pink merch drop. Capture email on every delivery. When TikTok or Instagram change the rules, the list still gets the next card. Brands, if they come, are a second SKU. Do not wait for Kurt Geiger. They called Blur because the character was already loud.
Caption and DM:
- Caption: "Nobody asked. Comment TIP and I will put this week's advice in your DMs. Yes I am AI. No I will not be nicer."
- DM: "Told you. Card is first. Jacket is second if you want to dress like a problem. Email if you want next week without scrolling."
Who this hurts: people who want to be liked. Granny converts because she is a character, not a role model. If you soften her into a wholesome nan, you get neither virality nor a product.

How does Kyra make money as India's AI influencer?
Kyra launched 28 January 2022 as India's first widely covered virtual influencer. FUTR Studios, Himanshu Goel and George Tharian, Bengaluru. Early Kyra was CGI: Maya, Blender, Unreal, the same family of tools as a game face. Fashion, food, travel, a Mumbai backstory. She showed up in magazines, on Shark Tank India as the studio's talent, in MET Gala-adjacent coverage. That is a different industry from a weekend Higgsfield account.
Brand list is the public story: boAt, L'Oréal Paris, Titan, Realme, American Tourister, Amazon Prime Video, later jewellery names. Goel has said some branded clips cleared tens of millions of views. The studio has talked about Rs 1.25 to 1.5 crore in brand revenue across Kyra's campaigns. Economic Times has quoted Indian virtual-influencer rates in the Rs 5 to 10 lakh per campaign band at 200k to 400k followers, with bigger films higher. Those are studio invoices. Your first Telugu cooking persona will not send that PDF to Oppo.
Naina Avtr (Avtr Meta Labs, Abhishek Razdan) is the sibling case. Jhansi-to-Mumbai, hybrid of AI face and a body double for real-world events, Nykaa and Puma and Pepsi, a micro-drama with human actors, a podcast. Followers in the 3.7 lakh band in 2026 recaps. Naina's bio says "India's First AI Superstar." Disclosure is part of the product. If you run regional, steal that, not the body double, until you have a reason to hire one.
The quote that should change your week is still Goel's. Followers did not just want to watch. They wanted to talk. FUTR built a companion chat. Over 400,000 people message their characters in a typical month. A brand-deal case study hid an inbox case study. The studio solved it by leaving Instagram for their own product. Most indie operators should not. They should keep the conversation in Instagram DMs and automate the 80% that is "are you real / send the look / what lipstick."
Timeline if you are copying regional, not the CGI studio:
- Pick a market you can speak. Language, festivals, high-street brands, slang. A Miami gym in front of a Hindi audience is Aitana with extra steps.
- Lock a face that belongs on that street. Saree one week, sneakers the next, same nose.
- Disclose in the bio the way Naina does. "AI" in the name is allowed. Lying is not.
- Ship a lookbook PDF before you email L'Oréal. Comment
LOOK. - Use local affiliates (a jewellery house, a sneaker, a festival wear label) in DM two.
- Brand outreach at month 3 with a one-page deck and view screenshots. Do not quit the PDF if the first ten emails bounce.
Tools: 2026 indie stack is the same as Aitana's (Nano Banana / Soul ID, Kling or Seedance or Veo, ElevenLabs). You do not need Unreal on day one. FUTR needed it in 2022 because the open models were not good enough. They are good enough now if you QC hands and jewellery. InstantDM for LOOK, and a human handoff when a brand manager actually DMs.
Product: lookbook, festival guide, "five outfits under ₹3,000," a local-brand list. The studio product is the campaign invoice. Your product is the file that exists when the campaign does not. Keep the 400,000-chat lesson: people will try to talk. Have a flow for "are you real" that discloses and then offers the lookbook, not a dead end.
Caption and DM:
- Caption: "Five looks, one week, Mumbai heat. Comment LOOK. I am AI. The outfits are real SKUs."
- DM: "Lookbook, Hindi and English. Page 6 is the affiliate list, marked. If you are a brand, comment BRAND and a human will get it."
Who this hurts: English-only operators cloning Kyra's face onto a generic travel grid. The moat is the market, not the renderer.
A note on Naina versus Kyra if you are in India and trying to pick a sister template. Kyra is closer to a CGI campaign model. Naina is closer to a transmedia celebrity: events with a body double, a micro-drama, a podcast with human guests. Indie operators should steal Naina's disclosure and Kyra's brand list, then ignore the body double until a client is paying for a physical appearance. You do not need a dual existence. You need a lookbook and a language.
Regional does not only mean India. The same row works for a Spanish-language cooking auntie, a Lagos fashion POV, a Brazilian funk granny, a Korean campus vlog. The failure mode is translating Aitana's captions and hoping the algorithm finds Mumbai. It will not. The comments you want are in the language the buyer thinks in.

Which tools, product, and keyword should you copy from each?
Same three columns, filled in so you can steal a row without rereading the biographies.
| Aitana-style | Granny-style | Kyra-style | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Face lock (2026) | Soul ID / Nano Banana Pro, pink or other signature | Same, plus age and costume consistency | Same, plus jewellery and festival wardrobe |
| Video | Kling 3 / Seedance 2 / Veo 3.1 | Veo or Seedance, 5–10 min QC | Same; Unreal only if you are actually a studio |
| Words | Claude captions, trainer-written plan | Claude bits trained on your jokes | Bilingual captions, human brand emails |
| Time to first post | A weekend if the PDF is ready | A weekend if the voice is ready | Longer if you are doing real CGI; a weekend if you are doing 2026 AI |
| Time to first dollar | Day 1 with the PDF; brands at 60–90 days | Week 2–4 with merch/Cameo/email; brands later | PDF day 1; brand invoice is a studio calendar |
| Front-end product | $27–$37 workout PDF | Card, merch, Cameo | Lookbook / local list |
| Upsell | Meal plan, Fanvue, affiliates | List, brand deck, roster only after one pays | Festival pack, then brand kit |
| InstantDM keyword | PLAN | TIP | LOOK (BRAND for humans) |
| Main risk | Crowd + waiting on brands | Platform "unoriginal" flags | Inbox volume + studio costs |
Compute per Reel in the public cases is roughly $1 to $15. Granny's 5 to 10 minutes is labour. Aitana's early LoRA work was labour. Kyra's 2022 CGI was labour plus software. Your 2026 bill should be low hundreds a month, not a studio, unless you choose Kyra's original path on purpose.

Who should copy Aitana, Granny Spills, or Kyra?
Copy Aitana if you can stand a crowded category and you will treat the PDF as the job. You like commercial lighting. You can write or hire a plan that will not injure people. You are willing to send 50 brand emails that bounce. You will disclose. You will not fake a dating inbox on Fanvue.
Copy Granny if you have a voice in a notes app and you do not look like a campaign model. Comedy, regional auntie, sports uncle, truck-stop philosopher. You will post daily. You will collect email because you believe platforms will cut AI payouts, because they already have. You will not launch five characters in week two.
Copy Kyra if you live in the market you want to sell. You can write captions in that language without a translator mangling the joke. You understand Diwali lighting or Lagos traffic or Mexico City street food as more than a prompt. You can wait on brands without starving, because the lookbook is already for sale. You will staff the "are you real" DM instead of building a chatbot company.
Copy none of them if your plan is "Lil Miquela makes $10 million." That is Brud, a decade of IP, Calvin Klein. Lu do Magalu is Magazine Luiza. Corporate mascots are a different industry. We put Lu in the money post as a ceiling, not a template.
Most people reading this should steal Granny's specificity, Aitana's disclosure, Kyra's regional stubbornness, and Yang Mun's $24 file. That last one is not even in the title, and it is still the best register. A spirituality ebook out-earned a lot of fashion brand decks. Put the file first.
What does a 30-day plan look like if you copy one of them?
If you picked Aitana-style: seven gym or street Reels in week 1, all with PLAN in the caption. Week 2 is the same plus two Stories with a "reply PLAN" sticker so story reply automation can fire. Week 3 you publish a carousel that is literally three pages from the PDF. Week 4 you send ten brand emails with a one-page kit. You do not stop the PDF because the emails are quiet. Quiet emails are normal. The file is the job.
If you picked Granny-style: 20 one-liners in a sheet before you generate a single clip. Then 20 Reels in 20 days, same jacket, same ring. TIP on every caption. On day 14 you send the email list a bonus card they did not have to comment for. That is how you learn whether the list is real. On day 21 you mock merch. On day 30 you decide if the character is a business or a bit you got bored of. If you are bored, kill it. Roster comes later.
If you picked Kyra-style: ten looks that could exist on a real street in your city. Bilingual captions if that is how people comment. LOOK on the Reels, BRAND on a story highlight that only media kits see. Week 3 you film or generate a festival-week sequence, because calendar moments are how regional accounts get saved. Week 4 you email five local brands with view screenshots and a rate card you can defend. The lookbook stays on sale the whole month so a no from a brand is not a no from the audience.
None of these calendars include "wait until 10,000 followers to sell." Yang Mun sold the file while the follower graph was still vertical. You can too. Follower gates are how people avoid shipping.

Why do Aitana, Granny, and Kyra still skip the inbox?
Aitana gets date requests. Granny gets "send the jacket." Kyra got a chat app because 400,000 people tried to talk. None of those are solved by a better renderer. They are solved by a reply.
InstantDM is how a face that cannot type still sells. Official Meta Business Partner, official Instagram Graph API. Comment-to-DM, story reply, in-DM email capture, button and product templates. Legend Pro is $9.99/month as of August 2026, unlimited contacts, up to 750 DMs/hour. Trendsetter is $24.99/month for follow-ups, Viral Mode handler, and API access. Free plan: 500 automations a month plus a 7-day full trial.
Safety suite is always on: DM Queue, Super Slow Mode, Rate Limit Controller, Flood Control. That reduces the risk of action blocks. It does not make the account immune to restrictions. Stay inside rate limits. Only reply to comments, story replies, and inbound DMs. Never cold blast an audience that followed a fake granny.
Keyword map if you are picking a lane tonight:
- Aitana-style:
PLAN→ PDF.SETon a different post if you add Fanvue. - Granny-style:
TIP→ card + email.JACKETif merch is live. - Kyra-style:
LOOK→ lookbook.BRAND→ human handoff with full lead context.
Public-reply "sent" on the comment. Schedule the post and the flow together. Granny-scale volume in hour one is the window. If the automation goes live 40 minutes late, the buyers already left. Disclose AI in the DM copy. A flow that pretends the character is typing love letters is how you get chargebacks and a restricted account.
30,000+ creators and brands use InstantDM as of July 2026 (InstantDM's own reported figure). That includes human coaches running the same PLAN keyword. The AI operator needs it more, not less, because there is nobody behind the eyes to type.

Which of the three AI avatar models should you copy this week?
Pick one of the three operating systems. Write the file that matches it. Lock one face. Put one keyword on the caption. Connect InstantDM. Test the comment as yourself. Disclose the AI. Post.
Do not build Aitana's hair, Granny's jacket, and Kyra's rooftop in the same grid. Mixed signals are how accounts stall at 4,000 followers with three incomplete products.
If you want the SKU list across more niches (pets, history POV, shovel sellers, ASMR), use AI influencer niches that convert. If you want checkout (Fanvue vs Gumroad vs Whop vs Stan vs Passes), that is a separate comparison. The three avatars above already tell you enough: sell a file, expect platforms to blink, answer the people who try to talk.
The persona is traffic. The product is the business. The DM is the part a renderer will not do. InstantDM is $9.99 a month as of August 2026, and it is how Aitana's plan, Granny's tip, and Kyra's lookbook actually leave the phone.
