ReplyPilot is a genuinely useful writing assistant: type "/rp" in a reply box and it drafts a response in your tone, on Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Facebook, and WhatsApp. But it only works while you're at the keyboard, and it meters every draft. InstantDM is a different category: automation that answers every comment and DM on its own, 24/7, at $9.99/month flat.
InstantDM is an Instagram comment and DM automation platform for creators, shops, and businesses, on web, iOS, Android, and Shopify. It's an official Meta Business Partner on the official Instagram Graph API: when someone comments a keyword or replies to a story, the DM sends itself, online or not. Pricing is flat: Legend Pro at $9.99/month and Trendsetter at $24.99/month, both with unlimited contacts, plus a forever-free plan of 500 automations a month. The AI agent is included without credit metering: set a goal, like qualifying leads or booking calls, and it works toward it. Four safety controls (DM Queue, Super Slow Mode, Rate Limit Controller, Flood Control) run on every plan.
ReplyPilot, at replypilot.app, is a Chrome extension that drafts social media replies. You subscribe, type "/rp" in a comment or DM box on LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, or WhatsApp, and it generates a reply in your tone and language for you to review and send. It's a writing assistant rather than automation: it doesn't connect to Meta's Instagram API, has no comment or story triggers, and never sends a message on its own. Plans meter the replies you generate, from $10/month for 100 replies up to $120/month for unlimited; the extension installs free, but there's no free plan. (As of August 2026, per replypilot.app.)
If your laptop is closed, ReplyPilot does nothing. InstantDM triggers on the comment, sends the DM, and keeps the conversation going overnight and on weekends.
A "/rp" shortcut still needs you to find each comment and press send. Automation watches your comments, story replies, and DMs, and fires on every one.
ReplyPilot charges by drafts generated: $29 buys 300, unlimited costs $120. InstantDM sends unlimited replies at $9.99/month, and a viral post doesn't change the bill.
InstantDM is an official Meta Business Partner with OAuth, and four safety controls pace every plan. A browser extension writing into the reply box sits outside that system entirely.
| Scenario | InstantDM | ReplyPilot |
|---|---|---|
| Just starting out | Free: 500 automations a month, forever | No free plan; Starter $10/mo for 100 drafted replies |
| 1,000 replies a month | $9.99/mo flat, sent automatically | Past the $29 plan's 300-reply cap; Creator $120/mo for unlimited |
| Viral Reel, 10,000 comments | $9.99–$24.99, unchanged; safety pacing absorbs the spike | You'd type each reply yourself, and drafts stay metered |
| Overnight and weekend messages | Included: automation runs 24/7 | Nothing sends until you're back at the browser |
"Open a supported post, type '/rp' in the comment box, choose your settings, and generate a first draft in seconds."

What stays constant on InstantDM, whatever your volume does.
There is nothing to migrate, because ReplyPilot stores no contacts and runs no automations. Plenty of people keep the extension for platforms where they still reply by hand, like LinkedIn and X, and give Instagram to automation. Connect your account on InstantDM's free plan, set keywords and a goal for the AI agent, and let comment-to-DM run for a week. If you were eyeing the $120/month unlimited tier for reply volume, $9.99 replaces that bill.
