Product Template

Send scrollable product carousels with images, prices, and buy buttons directly in Instagram DMs.

What Is the Product Template?

The Product template lets you send a horizontal carousel of product cards in Instagram DMs. When triggered, the user receives a swipeable row of cards — each with a product image, title, price or description, and tappable buttons.

This is ideal for:

  • E-commerce stores showcasing products
  • Course creators listing available courses
  • Service providers showing service packages
  • Anyone who wants to present multiple options in a visual format

Product Card Structure

Each product card in the carousel contains:

FieldRequiredDescription
ImageOptional (recommended)Product photo displayed at the top of the card. Upload or paste a URL.
TitleYesProduct name or headline. Keep it short and clear.
SubtitleOptionalPrice, short description, or tagline. Appears below the title.
ButtonsYes (1–3)Action buttons — typically "Buy Now" (web URL) or "Learn More" (web URL/postback).

How to Set Up a Product Carousel

  1. Open your post automation panel (click Automate on any post).
  2. In the DM Reply section, select Products as the reply type.
  3. Click Add Product to create your first card.
  4. For each product card:
    • Image: Upload a product photo or paste a publicly accessible URL. Square images (1:1) work best for carousels.
    • Title: Enter the product name (e.g., "Instagram Growth Masterclass").
    • Subtitle: Add the price or a short description (e.g., "$49 — Lifetime Access").
    • Buttons: Add 1–3 buttons. Typically a "Buy Now" or "View Details" web URL button.
  5. Repeat for additional products (up to 10 cards).
  6. Click Save to activate.

How It Looks in DMs

The user receives a horizontal scrollable carousel. They can swipe left/right to browse products and tap buttons to take action:

Single Product Card

Instagram Growth Masterclass
$97 — Lifetime Access · 6 Modules

On mobile (where most Instagram users are), the carousel is a natural, thumb-friendly experience — similar to shopping on Instagram itself.

Best Practices

  • Always include images. Product cards without images look empty and get far fewer taps.
  • Use consistent image sizes. Square (1:1) or landscape (1.91:1) images look best in carousels. Mix-and-match sizes look messy.
  • Put your best product first. The first card is fully visible; users have to swipe to see the rest.
  • Include price in the subtitle. Users want to know the price before tapping. Transparency builds trust.
  • Keep it to 3–5 products. You can add up to 10, but 3–5 is the sweet spot. Too many cards = decision fatigue.
  • Use clear button text. "Buy Now", "View Details", "Get Access" — not generic "Click Here".
