Go to Account Settings, open the Team tab and click Open Team settings. Create your workspace the first time, then on the Members tab invite the person by email. They accept from the invitation email within 72 hours. Every member gets the Admin role, with full access to your main account and all client accounts. Web only.
Team members have one role: Admin. Every member can see and change all automations, settings and connections on your main account and all its client accounts.
Each owner has one workspace. A workspace is the shared space your team joins. It is not a client account. See accounts, workspaces and team members.
This works on the web app only.
Steps
In the sidebar, click Account Settings and open the Team tab.
Click Open Team settings.
The first time, you see “Create Your First Workspace”. Type a Workspace name and click Create Workspace.
You’ll see the workspace name with three tabs: Members, Invitations and Settings.
On the Members tab, click the invite button next to Team Members.
In “Invite Team Member”, type the person’s Email Address. Role is Admin (“Full access to workspace”).
Click Send Invitation.
The invite now shows on the Invitations tab. From there you can Resend or Cancel it.
What your team member sees
An email from InstantDM saying you invited them to your workspace, with an Accept Invitation button. They don’t need an InstantDM account first.
A page “You’re Invited!” with the workspace, role, email and expiry. They click Accept Invitation, then Go to Dashboard.
Next time, they log in at app.instantdm.com with Continue with Email → OTP Login, using the invited email. On “Select a Workspace” they click your workspace.
To move between your accounts, they click the profile card at the bottom of the sidebar and use the Workspaces tab.
Good to know
Invitations expire after 72 hours. Use Resend if it runs out.
You can have only one pending invitation per email address.
Members can switch between your main account and its client accounts, rename them and send connection links. They can’t create client accounts (“Only the workspace owner can create sub-accounts.”).
To rename the workspace, use the Settings tab → Workspace Name → Save Changes.
If you don’t see Team under Account Settings yet, look for Team in the sidebar.
What you can’t do
Choose a role other than Admin, or limit a member to certain client accounts.
See a log of which member changed what.
Create more than one workspace (“You already have a workspace”).
Invite or manage members from the phone app.
How to remove a member
Open Team settings → Members, click Remove next to the person and confirm “Remove this member?”. They lose access on their next page load and get an email that their access was removed.
If it doesn’t work
The invite email didn’t arrive: ask them to check spam, then use Resend on the Invitations tab.
“There is already a pending invitation for this email”: resend or cancel the existing invite instead of sending a new one.
The member logs in and sees their own empty account: they should open the account switcher, go to the Workspaces tab and click your workspace name.

No. The only role is Admin, with full access to every account in your workspace: automations, settings and connections. Invite only people you trust with all your accounts.
How does my team member log in after accepting?
They log in with Continue with Email and OTP Login, using the email you invited. Then they pick your workspace on the Select a Workspace screen.
How do I remove someone?
Open Team settings, go to Members and click Remove. They lose access to the workspace and get an email saying so.
Can team members use the phone app?
No. Workspaces and team members work only in the web app.
