Short answer
After you publish from a post's page, type a name under Save to Library and click Save to Library. To reuse it, open another post's editor and use Copy Automation, From Library, or go to Quick Automation, Saved Libraries tab, pick the setup and click Use this. Copying is on Legend Pro and above.
Before you start
- Copying from your previous post or from the Library needs Legend Pro or a higher plan.
- The Library is your list of saved setups (trigger words, replies and DM) that you can copy onto other posts.
Steps
- Open a post from Quick Automation → Instagram → Posts, click its Send Link or PDF card, set it up and click Publish.
- In the “Automated Successfully!” window, type a Configuration Name, for example “Summer sale”.
- Click Save to Library.
- If you set the post up with New Automation, you return to Home instead of seeing this window. Open the post from Quick Automation and click Publish again to get it.
- To reuse it, open another post’s Send Link or PDF editor.
- Under Copy Automation, next to From Library, click Browse Library. In “Saved Automations”, click Apply on the setup you want.
- Or turn on From previous post to copy the setup you last published in this browser.
- Check the words and links, then click Publish.
Apply to many posts at once: open Quick Automation → the Saved Libraries tab (“Your saved Lead Gen and Send Link & PDF automations…”). Pick a setup on the left to preview it, click Use this, tick the posts or stories in “Use this automation”, and click Apply to N.
Manage your Library
- Filter by type (All, Send Link & PDF, Lead Gen) and by Platform (Instagram or Facebook).
- Edit changes the whole saved setup (“Edit Library Automation”). Rename changes its name.
- Tick 2 or more items and click Delete (N) to remove them.
- In the Lead Gen editor, use Copy Previous or Browse Library (“Lead Gen Library”).
On the phone app
- Save: after you tap Publish, the success window offers Save to Library. Type a Configuration Name and tap Save to Library.
- Reuse: at the top of the editor, under Copy Automation, tap Browse Library (“Automation Library”) and tap a saved name, then Publish.
- Previous Automation copies the last automation you published on this phone.
- Delete a saved item with its trash icon.
What your followers see
Nothing different. A post set up from the Library works exactly like one you set up by hand.
Good to know
- Applying a setup makes a copy on each post. You can then change one post without touching the others.
- Check links and trigger words after copying, especially if the new post is about a different product.
- Applying to Facebook posts needs a plan with Facebook automation. Otherwise you see “Upgrade required”.
- For the same setup on many posts that you want to manage together, an Automation Group may suit you better. See How do I put one automation on many posts at once?
What you can’t do
- Save a Flow Automation to the Library. Use Duplicate or Share in the flow list instead. See How do I organize, duplicate or copy a flow?
- Apply a Library item as an Automation Group.
- Save DM keyword automations to the app’s Library.
How to turn it off
A Library item doesn’t run on its own. To stop a post that used it, switch off that post’s automation. See turn off, edit or delete an automation.
If it doesn’t work
- From Library or From previous post shows a crown: your plan doesn’t include copying.
- “Upgrade required” when applying to Facebook posts: your plan doesn’t include Facebook automation.
- The Library is empty: you haven’t saved anything yet. Publish a post from its own page and use Save to Library.
