Where do I find and download the leads I collected?

  • Works on: Web app

Short answer

For Lead Gen on a post, open the post and use the Lead Gen Contacts tab, then Download CSV. For flows and Lead Gen, open Contacts and click Export. For a Send Link post, open All Comments, then View Summary and Download CSV. Downloads are on the web only, and a flow filter limits the export to the 200 most recent people.

Before you start

Where your leads are depends on how you collected them:

You collected them withDownload from
Lead Gen on a post or storyThe post’s Lead Gen Contacts tab
Flow Automation or Lead Gen (all of them together)Contacts → Export
Send Link or PDF (no questions)The post’s All Comments → View Summary

Steps

To download every lead from your flows and Lead Gen automations at once:

  1. Click Contacts in the sidebar.
  2. Choose Instagram or Facebook at the top. Each one exports separately.
  3. Optional: pick a tag in Filter by tag. Leave Filter by flow empty if you want everyone.
  4. Click Export. You’ll see “Exported N contacts.” and get a file like contacts-2026-10-24.csv.

The file has contact_id, username, tags, human_takeover, created_at, then one column per saved field, such as email and phone.

Lead Gen on one post

  • Go to Quick Automation → Instagram → Posts and click the post.
  • Open the Lead Gen Contacts tab and click Download CSV.
  • You get one row per person: Username, Name, Instagram profile link, one column per question (the answer, or “Skipped”), Tags, Status (Completed or In Progress) and Date.

Send Link post (who got your DM)

  • Open the post and stay on the All Comments tab.
  • Click View Summary, then Download CSV. It includes up to 20,000 people, with their comment, whether the DM and public reply were sent, and link opens. There are no emails in this file.

On the phone app

The app can’t download CSV files. You can look at people per automation: a post’s Contacts tab, the Contacts button on a DM automation, or Flows → tap a flow.

Good to know

  • Contacts shows people added from 25 Aug 2026 onward. Older leads are not lost: open the flow in Flow Automation, click the people icon (View contacts) and use the download icon. That export is limited to the 200 most recent people.
  • To export more than 200 people from one flow, add a Tag Contact step to the flow, then export Contacts filtered by that tag.
  • The Contacts search box only searches the 25 rows on the screen.
  • “Completed” and “In Progress” are approximate. Flows that end on a button or link message often stay “In Progress” even when the person finished.
  • The file opens in Excel and Google Sheets.

What you can’t do

  • Export Instagram and Facebook contacts in one file.
  • Schedule automatic exports. To send leads somewhere as they arrive, use Mailchimp, Kit or Klaviyo from a flow.
  • Import contacts.

If it doesn’t work

  • No Lead Gen Contacts tab: the post uses Send Link or PDF, not Lead Gen. Use View Summary.
  • An email column is missing: nobody in that export answered an Email question, or they ran out of retries. See answer rules.
  • Someone is missing from Contacts: they got only a plain DM, or came before 25 Aug 2026. Check the flow’s own contact list.

Questions people also ask

Why are people from my Send Link automation not in Contacts?

Contacts lists people from Flow Automation and Lead Gen only. For a Send Link post, use All Comments, then View Summary, then Download CSV. That file has who commented and got the DM, not emails.

Why did my export stop at 200 people?

Exports with a flow filter, or from a flow's contact list, include only the 200 most recent people. Export from Contacts with no flow filter, or with a tag filter, to get everyone.

Can I export from the phone app?

No. The app shows contacts per post, per DM automation and per flow, but CSV downloads are web only.

Can I import contacts from a CSV?

No. InstantDM has no contact import.
