Short answer
Go to Flow Automation, find the flow and click its View contacts icon. A panel lists everyone who started the flow, newest first. Click a person to see their saved answers and tags. The download icon exports the list, but only the 200 most recent people.
A flow is a multi-step chat built in Flow Automation, with buttons, questions and branches. Each flow keeps a list of the people who went through it.
Steps
- Click Flow Automation in the sidebar.
- Find your flow and click the people icon (View contacts). You can also open the row’s ⋮ menu and choose View contacts.
- A side panel opens with the flow’s name, a Live or Draft tag, and the number of contacts.
- People are listed newest activity first, with a Last active date.
- To find someone, type a username or ID in the search box and press Enter. This search covers the whole flow.
- To narrow the list, use Filter by tag.
- Click a person to open their details:
- Custom fields: the answers they gave, saved under each question’s Save answer as name, or under its type when that is blank (for example email or phone).
- Tags, the Active flow box (where they are in a flow right now) and, for AI flows, the AI timeline.
- To download, click the download icon (“Export this flow’s contacts to CSV”).
- To see the same people on the full Contacts page, click the arrow icon (“Open in the full Contacts page”).
On the phone app
Tap Flows on Home (“View contacts & responses”). Tap a flow to see “N contacts collected”, filter by tag, and tap a person to see their answers and AI LEAD DATA. You can’t create or edit flows, or export, in the app.
Good to know
- Export stops at 200. Exporting from this panel, or from Contacts with a flow filter, gives only the 200 most recent people. For everyone, tag them in the flow and export by tag.
- You can fix a wrong answer: open the person, edit the value under Custom fields, and click Save.
- Remove in the Active flow box takes someone out of the flow they’re stuck in. Their next message starts fresh.
- “Completed” and “In Progress” labels can be wrong for flows that end on a button or link card, because those runs are never marked complete. Treat completion counts as approximate.
- For Lead Gen on a post (not a flow), answers are on the post’s Lead Gen Contacts tab. See Where do I find and download the leads I collected?
What you can’t do
- See a chart of how many people dropped off at each step.
- Export more than 200 people from the flow panel.
- Reply to people from here. Reply in the Instagram or Facebook app.
